Anyone know how to get rid of waves in the cantilevered top rear wing skin that forms the gap seal for the flaperons? I transported the wings flat that shifted against the hold down straps and bent portions of that skin down. Anything I try causes an oil can type effect with waves in the gap seal skin. Need to solve before I paint and fly. I know the position of that skin greatly affects wing lift.

Shrink?

No, not one you pay by the hour <grin>
Scott, we have a foot-operated sheetmetal Shrinker/stretcher in our hanger at Moontown. You're welcome to take it home and give it a try.

Your are correct that the metal probably needs to shrink since the hold down straps slightly deformed and expanded the skin. The challenge is how to apply something like a fixed shrinker to a large immobile item like a wing to the flippy floppy cantilevered gap seal skin.
