I'm now experiencing my wing tips. I had some trouble in perfectly aligning the tip trailing edge with the aileron. I think that a perfect alignment is crucial, provided that the tip trailing edge misalignment should work as a positive/negative aileron, thus increasing resistence if both wings have a right/left tendency or if they have a roll toward right or left which pilot or a trim should correct.
Best technique should be the following (second tip; first tip went in a different way): adapt the tip leading edge to the wing leading edge (heating could be useful). Trim exceeding material from tip edges. Fit it on the wing. Set aileron on neutral position. Clamp an aluminium angle along with aileron and tip trailing edges. Drill #40 holes. Check, heat, reinstall and open to #30. Install first rib. Check again. Install second rib, etc...
