I am at the point where the manual says to countersink the tank skin where it attches to the tank baffel. My question is why does the tank skin and baffel not get dimpled?

Thanks,

The baffle will be about the last think to attach with Pro-seal. It makes it a lot easier to slide it into place and it creates a nice fillet of proseal when slid into place without all the dimples to get hung up on.

Thanks

I am staying with the plans but couldl not figure this one out. This makes sense though. I will get the countersink tool out!

Back in the day, we dimpled these skins and it worked great. Yes, they are a little more difficult to get into place, but not that bad. I still prefer dimples.

I dimpled them and it worked out great, had no trouble fitting them together with proseal. I did have one leak, but it was not on that seam - one of the pop rivets on the Z-brackets was not completely sealed.

Anyone w/ Dimple Problems?

I would realy rather dimple and it seems to me that it would be stronger.

Has anyone dimpled these parts and had any problems?
