Hi all, I'm doing a slow build RV6A and although I'm about ? years and 15000 rivets away from having to worry about it I notice that some RV's have a really nice moulded wing root fairing rather than the rubber strip, are these for sale some where or are they owner built, cheers Mat:

Try Fairings, etc.

Here's an install pic from Robbie Attaways RV

Cheers and thanks these are the ones I've been looking for ,I've been told they are purely cosmetic ,which is fine , cheers Mat

Don't use them...

....if you're looking for speed. A poster on here bought a flying -6 several years ago and had those nicely molded fairings. When he removed them and went with Van's flat aluminum fairings, he picked up 7 MPH!

Since the wing/fuselage intersection is close to 90 degrees, there's little to no turbulence or drag there.

Regards,
