In looking at DWG 38, on the right side there is a sketch of the wing root fairing which shows the holes over the wing walk as being countersunk.
Am I to interpret this as countersinking the fairing in unison with the wing or does it mean dimpling the fairing and countersinking the underlying wing walk which is too thick to dimple?
It seems a countersink through the thin top metal would not give much holding power, not that it is really needed in this area.
Thanks for any help.
