I'm going to start slowly with these items before a full blown hogging out if a crack. http://rplastics.com/weldon4.html

There was an excellent article in November Sport Aviation on major repairs.

This is what we use, I know of no better product. Use a hypodermic with a blunt needle to apply, or better yet, use a small plastic squeeze bottle with a blunt hypodermic needle on it. Everybody makes just such a thing. The fitting on the bottle is called a luer lock. Do a google search and you'll easily find one. It takes practice to learn the best method to join or repair plexi. Don't start with your canopy, use some scraps to practice on. One tip is that the water thin (it's even thinner) Weldon WILL run all over. If you can wipe a run up in a second it won't effect the rest of the canopy. Have a rag in hand while applying the solvent and be ready to use it. Don't rub, one quick wipe. You may need (or want) to use a canopy polish and repair system afterwards. You should be able to make a strong and almost invisible repair.

The 40$ kit should provide you with enough material to make about 1000 repairs. Have fun!
