I put power to the panel today yesterday for the first time. A couple of deep breaths, and I flipped the master - THUNK! Low oil pressure light/master on light lights itself, good so far. Flip the Av/Nav switch and the D180 and AP74 come up . . .Com switch, the SL40 and GTX327 light up. No smoke! Current draw is right where it should be. Seems like a big milestone.

I still have the GPS wiring to install and configure, but with the GTX327 and Dynon configed, I'm getting good reporting. I'll be curious how useful the serial communication between the GPS and the SL40 is.

I hope no future smoke as well.

Word of caution, keep your guard up. Now that you have power hooked up be careful of anything new you are doing. Any additional wire that maybe loose, not connected, or just hanging free is a potential short (and smoke generator). I may have personal experience on this.

Glad you were able to keep the smoke inside the wires. It is so hard to put it back in once it leaks out!

Congrats
