Just wondering, i'm going to be replacing my cowling soon and am wondering how to get away with this?

No visible intake

Just a guess- rear facing sump intake. Intake air pulled from back baffle.

He pulls the air to his servo through the cowl inlet for cooling air. Normally off the ramp just inside the cowl inlets.

Yes, this is a factory option for RV8/8A models. Contact Vans for the drawing.

Horizontal Induction

Not familiar with the 4. But for the 7 & 8, most likely the engine has horizontal induction. Air intake is in the the left cowl opening (nostril) and uses the snorkel to feed the air to the engine.
If u like the smooth look order your engine with Horizontal induction. If u like that thing hanging below, order Vertical induction.
