I have some black 2" Scat Tubing for ventilation from NACA vents to the cockpit. It seems a bit flimsy for use in the engine area to connect fresh air to the heat muff or heat muff to heat box on the firewall.

What tubing do I use forward of the firewall?

I'm a big fan of SCEET type ducting for any & all air duct (oil cooler, heater, vent, etc.).

It's heavier than CAT, CEET, SCAT, but sooo much more durable.

tubing

If it is black, it is likely CAT tubing which is very lightweight.

If you go to aircraftspruce and type in CAT tubing, then go to the bottom of the page, it will explain the differences bewteen CAT, SCAT, CEET, and SCEET tubing...
