Sometimes the controller on the ground at FISK will give you a choice of runway (not always as it depends on the traffic). To me it seems 18/36 is closer to both homebuilt camping and homebuilt parking, especially if you land toward the north end of the runway. Does anyone think 9/27 is better? Just trying to avoid a 3 mile taxi.

I always try to get 36L, definately the prefered runway for HBC.

36 L is the best. Land on last dot turn left look for Jeff:rolleyes:

Give him finger or 2 or 3:eek:

I have landed on 36L, 36R, 18R, 27, and 09. They are all good. You have to taxi too far regardless on what runway you land.

i like long taxis @osh, last year we had to hold for 4 mustangs coming out. :)

18/36 if you can get it. The taxis are shorter and entirely on paved surface.

A related issue- plan for a 18/36 departure. You can request 9/27 from the homebuilt area, and you might save 5 minutes in the air but at the cost of 45 minutes on the ground. Plan accordingly.
