On my Lycoming O-320 A2C I have used the primer ports for the fuel injection, since the engine doesn't have any upper cylinder ports. Where would be the best location to pick up manifold pressure to feed the gauge and electronic ignition systems?

The *best* place would be after the throttle body, before the mounting flange on the sump...which would require a thick plate (the shape of the gasket) with a pressure port. All of the cylinders would be sucking equally here, so maybe a pulse damper wouldn't be required, like on my engine, which taps the #3 cylinder primer port.
Just my $.02
