My RV-10 will have GRT dual screens with the dual ADHARS. I know there are several people with flying RV-10s using GRT. Can anyone share where they mounted the ADHARS unit (and their reasoning for selecting that location)?

Thanks!

On the GRT, the magnetometer is separate of the AHRS. I built a shelf for the AHRS aft of the firewall, pilot side. The magnetometer will go aft of the rear baggage bulkhead or in the wing.

I downloaded the GRT AHRS mounting diagram from here and installed nutplates so it would just "drop in." The mounting diagram for the Magnetometer is also here.

Mounted AHRS in the rear behind bagage on my 6 and magnometer above on little bracket. I was worried about too much weight in front using Hartzell CS.

I mounted the AHRS just aft of the firewall on the right side - made a shelf attached to the FW bracing and R side panel rib. Location was selected because I had room there and easy access to the pitot & static lines. The magnetomer is mounted just forward of the first bulkhead aft of the rear baggage wall. I made a small shelf that has it near the top of the tailcone - reasoning is that this was the best compromise between access and distance from eletrical "stuff". Ground testing with power to everything shows that it isn't affected by the battery contactor, AP pitch servo or strobe power supply.

Still a few weeks from flying though.
