I made mine out of left over elevator pushrod tube.

I got mine at McMaster Carr. They don't have the long ones like Cleveland makes. Mine were about an inch wide and I used two of them.

I used spring loaded gas cap door from Dodge pickup, other sizes on other pic!ups, as most don't use cable release like cars.Tom
