I wrote a letter to the editor of Sport Aviation (unfortunately I called it Sportsman Pilot) about the lack of coverage of the AirVenture Cup Race and I got the following response:

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your comments regarding the AirVenture Cup race.

The results were published in EAA Sport Aviation.

Because Sportsman Pilot is not an EAA publication (it's wholly owned and operated by Jack Cox, not EAA), we don't have any say in its content.

For the record, there is no rift between the race and EAA HQ, and it receives the same coverage as the top winners in the aircraft judging arena.

I appologized for my error and looked through my magazines since Oshkosh 2006 and I simply could not find the coverage Scott mentions. Can some one point it out to me?
