I have seen these used on wheel pants, so that you can put air in your tires without taking the wheel pants off.

I used them on my RV-6. Expensive and mine didn't work that great. This time around, I bought some chrome hole plugs and just drilled a 1" hole in the wheel pant. Snapped in the chrome plug and away you go. Neat, simple, and cheaper.

But I understand the desire to use them.

Thanks for the link Bill.

After reading what you and Randy said, I think that I will go the cheap route and use the chrome plugs instead.

Extensions

Hi Kent,
After you drill the 1" holes, buy a pair of valve stem extensions and screw them together to make them long enough. A 3/8" nut driver is the size of the valve cap to remove it with, screw the valve stem extension in place and air up-simple. Once I located the valve stem behind the hole, I painted a white stripe on the sidewall of the tire straight down so when I see it, I know the valve stem's lined up.

Regards,
