JonJay Well Known Member Sep 4, 2012 #2 I believe those are the old Champions. The new ones are a -1, and they are shorter, like the tempest. There are still quite a few NOS Champion filters out there but if you buy new, you should get the -1's

J jetdriven Well Known Member Sep 4, 2012 #3 The Champion 48110-1 is the exact same length as the Tempest 48110-2. I just measured them a minute ago. However, the Tempest has the welded nut on the can end, has a magnet inside the bypass valve, and is shipped in plastic sealed up.
