Most people mount the strobe power supply aft of the baggage compartment or in the aft floorboard...Is there a problem with mounting it in the sub-panel (the area under the top forward skin of the 7a)..??? The instructions say you only need to keep it away from the ADF antenna, if you have one, but I just wonder if there is a problem with the supply close to the radios..Don't want to run into a noise problem..but would like to mount it upfront if possible..Any RMI or EMI guru's care to comment? Thanks in advance...

Strobe power supply aft of main spar

If you put the PS aft of main spar (under the baggage floor for example) you don't have to run all those strobe cables through the main spar.... just the power/ground wire. Also, an electrical/avionics engineer told me the PS base should be electrically isolated from the fuselage and ground it with a wire to your star ground point. That will help keep the airframe from "pulsing"... keeping the PS charging RF noise down.
