Van's plans call for attaching the Outboard section of the Rear Half of the Wheelpant with Rivets. Why not Platenuts and Screws???

You can do that, but riveting and reinforcing with glass cloth and resin is a much cleaner look. No holes or screws to spoil the sleek outside of the pant.

But, I choose the platenut route for my sense of ease of getting the pants on and off............
