I have searched around quite a bit and couldn't find an answer. It appears that Vans changed the type of brake hose they send in the finish kit. My kit came with steel-braided hoses rather than the older cloth, 303-style hoses. Does anyone know what these hoses are lined with? Are they teflon? They 'look' like aeroquip 666 hose. I spoke with Ken @ Vans and he didn't know. Just said they were compatable with all light-aircraft brake fluids. I'm changing over to DOT-4 (no need to get into that discussion here) and would just assume not buy new hoses unless I need to.

Ive seen several different lengths of gear leg hoses on RV6's. This is one area (among others) where the builder can really put his personal input into his plane. Best to have the lengths that YOU want, not what someone else had on their plane.
