I recently purchase an RV-8 and in the peripheral items that I received from the seller, I found this item in a bag. The owner said it is a rear seat riser but for the life of me, I can’t see any orientation that allows this to act as a seat riser. Any suggestions? I am hopefully that the answer is “front seat riser” since I need a few more inches of height in the front of the -8.

That's what it is on the 6. Stick it under your cushion and try it.
Yes, front seat due to the slope.... fits spar brace.

Sit on it first to see that it adds a small increase in HT due to it's compression.
But it does help. You can get far denser foam at your local foam suppliers if this is too soft.

Seat cushion

That’s the front seat riser that goes on the floor then the seat cushion goes on top of that. The bottom cushion in the back is all one piece and doesn’t look like the bottom wedge for the front.
