Jesse Well Known Member Aug 30, 2014 #2 I'm not sure on the -6, but on the -10 it is stainless steel and about .020-.025". I don't know what gauge that works out to be, but it is surprisingly thin. I assume the -6 and -10 are the same.

az_gila Well Known Member Aug 30, 2014 #4 From the plans The RV-6 plan sheet 25 calls out Type 304 18-8 stainless steel 28-26 ga. for the firewall. That would make it 0.015 to 0.018 inch thick.
