I’m finishing up on the Aft Fuselage and have a question for those ahead of me. I’ve attached an excerpt from the Vertical Stabilizer section on page 06-04. The plans instruct you to “leave open” one of the rivet holes on the Rudder Hinge Bracket.....I did.

So, moving on to page 11-07 (excert below) and the Vertical Stabilizer attachment. It shows the use of two AN3-6A and three AN4-6A bolts. However, still doesn’t address the “open” hole in the Hinge Bracket. I also can’t find anything in the plans discussing what hardware (if any) is used on this “open” hole.

So, does anyone know what’s the deal with this “open” hole? Is it actually left “open” or did I miss something in the plans?

I?ve found in the plans on two occasions this ?open? holes is used as a locator. Looking through my photos from Sun-N-Fun, I found this airplane had no hardware installed in the ?open? hole. Maybe I just answered my own question!
