On the fwd fuselage, there is a space just aft of the fuel tank attach ears where there are no pilot holes for rivets thru the side skin/belly skin/lower longeron stackup. On the 7A, this gets match drilled for a couple of bolts that go through the front leg of the landing gear weldment.

On the 7, I can't find anything in the prints or instructions that would indicate you do anything with this spot. Do most people just ignore this? Drill and stick a couple of rivets in it? what gives? It's a gap of about 3 inches in an otherwise very symmetrical row of rivets.

Howdy. I did nothing with that area. Since the skin and underlying parts have no holes there and Vans does not state for -7 builders to add any rivets, I just left it as is.
