I am getting ready to pour the elev counterweights on my -4. I know of one guy who found massive corrosion on the bolts that held his in place. I guess they were put in place and then the lead was poured. There was so much corrosion that the bolts were rattling around loose. Am I better to use AN bolts? Stainless? Galvanized? Any recommendation?

I am in quarantine at my hangar, making the best of the situation. Stay safe everyone.

Plans these days call for MS24694-Sxx (f.k.a. AN509 screws (cad plated)).

If you're concerned about corrosion (!) maybe dip the screws in SEM or SW988...

Cheers!
