....Brian's -4 is painted and ready for first flight after.

The markings were from the 308th Fighter squadron, 31st Fighter group, Mondolfo, Italy, 1944. Their P-51's were in these colors and the previous builder added a dorsal fin to add to the -51 look.

....we're both planning on being there around 10:30a.m. He picked up several MPH as well!

BTW, for all you guys wondering, Brian is a student pilot I soloed in my 6A and then taught him to land the -4 from the back seat. After a lot of taxiing with the tail up and down, he took off.

Yes, student pilots can fly RV's. Brian is around 50 and listens well to instruction with a good attitude. I can't think of an easier tailwheel airplane to land than a -4. Managing the speed takes a while to learn.
