As I start building my second fuel tank, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put a flop tube in it (I don't have one in the other tank). The inverted tank isn't a problem, but I don't know whether I'm concerned about the extra cash and weight for an inverted oil system. How much extra weight and complexity/maintenance does an inverted oil system typically add?

I'm gonna be the first in on this question this time. Put it in and worry about all the other stuff later. If you decide later that it's too expensive or heavy or you hate being upsidedown you're out nothing. Installing one in a completed plane would be a royal pain so do it now if there's ANY chance of wanting it later. Sorry, but I have no idea what the inverted system weighs though :D
