Just weighed my 9A last weekend and have started going over the nembers and making a W&B table for ABDAR inspection. Question I have is what people have been using for Pilot/passenger weights?. EAA green booklet says that you must use 170 lbs, but I weight more than that. Also when using minimum fuel I was using 5gal/30lbs but I see that in the same EAA booklet the FAA says to use the formula ((Max. continous HP/12) X 6). If Max Cont Hp =75% power that would mean that an O320 160 hp engine would be ((120hp/12)X6) = 60 lbs or 10 gal. Interested in what others have done here also.

Thanks in advance

Bill, I used 5 gal as example of most aft CG.

On my plane the only way that I could get out of CG was to be full loaded baggage (100lb) and full passenger weight and only 3 gal of fuel. No combination of light weight pilot with full fuel would make me go out of limit with forward CG.
