I'm in the process of replacing F-412 because the part-finished -4 I bought was shipped across the Atlantic on its wheels but without the aft end of WD-409 being bolted through the F-412 - the result was that the tailspring forced its way up through the former, tearing the metal badly.

The holes previously drilled for the lower VS attachment do not seem to match the measurements given in the drawings - not 2"inches between lower and upper holes, more like 1 1/2". I think the upper holes (the ones where the bolts also go through the lower rudder hinge) are in the right place. The lower one is about 0.5 inch too high. Is this a vital problem?? Are there plans updates with new measurements? This an old kit...

Thanks for any useful info. I note that WD-409 is also used on _7s, -8s etc with rather different hole locations so maybe its not that important...
