Well I finally took my left wing off of the jig and placed it onto my newly built rolling wing rack ( built completely out of the shipping box ). When I looked at the wing under the light I was suprised to see that the top looked wavy and not to smooth. Looking at all of the pictures of finished RV's the wings look smooth. Has anyone else seen this after taking their wings off of the jig. BTW my bottom skin is not riveted on yet if that makes a difference.

I'd suggest giving us a good picture or two to look at. Wavy skins might be a function of temperature, poor riveting quality, improper jigging, rib flanges not squared up prior to skinning, who knows.... or maybe you're just nervous over nothing.

Pictures please!

If the bottom skins are not even clecoed on to stress both sides equally, then the ripples can even be more apparent. However, all RV wings have a slight ripple between the ribs. The skin just isn't thick enough to do otherwise.
