I was match drilling the aileron gap fairing and on the outboard end there are 2 holes you drill through the fairing and into the rear spar putting new holes into the rear spar. I failed to clamp the gap fairing to the rear spar before doing this and the holes in the gap fairing are very enlarged. 7/16 at the widest. After talking with Vans a bit ago there should be enough room there to place some doubler aluminum (.032 suggested) on the back side of the gap fairing.

Here is what you should do to prevent this form occurring. Seems obvious but that fairing slips around pretty easy. Sharing this in case it prevents someone else from also doing this.
