Guys,
My wife and I were flying back from Kentucky Dam yesterday and I kept getting a Low Volts indication on my Vision Engine Monitoring System. I installed a new Plane Power alternator last year and my battery is about 2 years old. It jumped from 11.7 to 13.6. We are doing the annual this weekend? I am going to check my connections and belt? Anybody have any other ideas to look at?

We found our belt came loose if you had a high load on the ground and pushed the throttle in to quickly on take off ... most of the time it would be ok once in flight or if you lowered the load. The fix was to add a stop on the alt bracket, locking the alt in place.

We experienced that in a 9A. The crimp of the alternator B-lead was loose at the alternator terminal. It had been arching, and the voltage would always drop when under load.
