Anybody had problems with the MicroVision VM1000 display backlighting? This is the older unit that has the separate gold CPU box. I had some issues with it not lighting the entire display. This went on for quite a while and then the backlighting eventually stopped working all together. I called tech support and they said send it back and they would look at it. They repaired (actually replaced I believe) the display and sent it back to me.

Last night I went flying and the backlighting had completely failed again. Anyone else have this problem?

On a related note, I heard recently that VM was moving and was very difficult to contact. Anyone been in touch with them recently?

Yep, I have the same problem, with the same unit. Hope you get some satisfaction.
