I just purchased an RV8 with a VM1000 system in it. It has an issue with it and I was wondering if anyone had a solution for repair or replacement?

I know a guy was doing repairs, but the website says it is inactive.

If anyone has one that was working when doing an upgrade, I would be interested in it.

Some of the temperature sensors are available from JPI. The common VM-1000 issues that are very difficult to fix are fuel pressure sensor inaccurate or failed (sensor is unavailable), amps unreliable, tacho does not work with some electronic ignitions (not much that can be done), fuel flow flashes (I believe a fault with the buttons). The backlight can be very dim and the LCD can get a bit shabby. Reggie used to support the instruments for a while but he gave up a few years ago. As mentioned above, many people fix them by fitting something else.

I should add that the DPU has a battery combined with an IC that is available from Mouser and the like. Should be changed every 8 or 10 years.
