I am guessing that not very many members of this forum know what Aotearoa means!

It's a lovely place, for sure. Wishing they'd let me in as a permanent resident.

Up By Bakersfield...

is a relative term I suppose...

Aotearoa is one place I've never been, but would love to visit. Came close once; was supposed to stay in Christchurch for a couple of weeks, then go down to the ice in a C130. Caught pneumonia instead:( Maybe someday...hmmm may need those extended range tanks after all:D

Hi "rv8or"

Well as a fellow Pom, there are a few RVs down here.....

Probably depends on what RV model, when and how far you want to drive!

We are currently in the deep south and I'd skip the North Island from a tourist perspective ;) - but will hopefuly be back up with the masses by mid 2008 - what are your time scales?

Regards,

Carl

I was born and grew up in Mangapapa, Gisborne but live in the UK now due to work. Building an RV8, working on the fuse.
And yes the deep south has fantastic scenery, and is great flying country.
Will not get south on this trip.

Cheers
