Ok here goes, was and aircraft mechanic way back also started an RV3 build have been around AC for years.
Have a question about this being done on aircraft, how do you inspect them for cracks, loose rivets and such? I would have trouble doing an inspection on one due to the fact you cannot see these items until they have progressed to the point of failure.
I have seen on the forum many photos of cracks, bends and loose rivets, you can get a bend without the film showing at times. My last work until I retired was on transit busses which were sometimes fully wrapped with ads. And the other thing is corrosion under the wrap I have seen various types after they were removed which could not be seen before.
Again just asking as this is totally new to me as I also painted light AC for several years. Boyd in Chiloquin OR.
