I'm trying to discourage someone from doing the same and looking for some old video that used to be easy to find.
Years ago I saw at least a couple of videos of engine runups without wings attached that ended up destroying the project. I think one was a Lancair/glasair fiberglass type and the other an RV. Just not enough torsional stability or weight/mass without the wings on to keep things from getting completely out of hand. Remember those? Please send me the links if you can find them!
