I have been experiencing a harmonic vibration noise up forward. It is most noticeable during RPM reduction when slowing down for approach speeds. It occurs between 3200 to 3300 RPM.
I was also able to produce the notice on the ground at the same RPM range.
After further checking I have zeroed in on the pitot tube and the spinner area.
I have found that the pitch adjustment cylinder has movement, both rotationally as well as forward and aft.
After removing the cylinder I found a fine dust from the plastic cylinder and some wear in the holes where the studs from the prop blades make contact.
After inspection I have found no wear or scoring of the hub itself, nor the prop blade bases.
I have contacted Sensenich and they are sending out a new pitch adjustment cylinder. Hobbs-170Hr.
Has anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks,
Gary
