I recently picked one of the nifty little Vetterman vents from Van's, and am wondering if there is any reason I should NOT "glue" it on? IIRC, most folks have riveted these vents on, and it looks like it comes pre-drilled for three rivets. The plane is already painted, and I'd rather not drill, dimple, mask off and repaint the skin (not to mention I don't have the tools to do so.) I am guessing that I would need a fairly thin layer of adhesive so that the vent still sits flush in the skin - any suggestions on what to use?

Can you tell I didn't build this thing?
