Need help understanding where on the engine is safe to mount supportive attachments for the aft two pipes?
IO-360 Hp Lycoming 200. RV-8.

There are sump bolts that are in a good spot to run braces diagonally down to the pipes. Vetterman supplies some attachment tabs - small brackets really - that go right under the head of the sump bolt, and then the flattened stainless tube bolts to that.

And by the way, this is a really good way to go. The whole engine and exhaust can move as a unit. Trying to support the exhaust by attaching to the engine mount can cause a lot of problems.
