My RV3 has no wing tip lights or strobes. I would like to add a single strobe
to the vertical fin or other location per advice from forum. Ideally some
small modern LED unit from non-aviation scource easily adaptable to a RV3.
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Strobe light

Just to be seen better in the day time right! A strobe on the vertical is not so good on a low wing airplane if you have to use it after sundown. You'll see every flash off of your wings. Nice to have some light source if your ETA is a little off one evening but the vertical fin is not the best location. Wing tips would be better if you can pull it off. It can be done on a finished air frame but is a bit of a pain.;)

Combination nav and strobe on TE of rudder

I have a combo white nav light and strobe on the trailing edge of the rudder (built into the lower rudder cap actually).

The only light my plane has is a standard white tailight. Does what you have
simply replace a taillight with a taillight/strobe?

Yes it does

I bought the lights from Aircraft Spruce. They were part of a Whelen three light one power supply system.
