I would like to learn what Van or other experts in the field recommend for the vertical angle difference between the airframe, and the engine or propeller. I have heard that 1 degree downward angle is correct. Also that with the higher speeds of RVs, the downward angle eliminates the need for some of the downward trim that would otherwise be needed, IE higher speed = more lift.

Can anyone verify this information, or suggest why a different vertical angle of incidence might be better?

In my case were talking about 200 HP RV7A.

Thanks for any replys, Randy
