Got the Van's tach sender all ready to be wired. What voltage does the unit need? Mine came with no documentation what so ever. I assume the white wire can go directly to the EIS 4000.

This may be worth a shot

The black wire is to ground
The red wire is to power
The white is the sender output

Spin the sender with a power drill (direction does not matter) and use a multimeter to measure the voltage on the white wire. Who knows what RPM you are spinning the sender but it may provide some useful data. Good luck.

Thanks... I knew what all the wire colors were. Just didnt know the input voltage... somewhere along the line I thought I heard it was like 4.8 - 5V. Didnt want to hook up 12V in case it didnt like it.

Correct Scott, never never apply more than 5v to any input or you will fry the EIS4000. Cheers George
