So I bought an AN833-6 from Van's the other day and it showed up with absolutely no stampings on it, I seem to remember way back a big hub-bub about counterfeit hardware from china making its way into the aerospace industry, all my other AN stuff is stamped, should i be concerned?

Not unusual. It is identified by size and color. Unlike a bolt that all look alike.

If a fluid fitting is not marked "AN" or "MS" and stamped with a manufacturer's ID, it is not AN or MS.

FWIW, I am happy to use non-AN steel fittings from sources like Parker, but decline all non-AN aluminum fittings.
