I decided to go ahead with the RV-12 and wondered if Van ships the tail kit via UPS or if it has to be sent by truck...how did yours arrive?

Took delivery of both the fuselage and empennage kit via Truck Freight (ABF Freight) this past Friday. The wooden empenage crate was approximately 114"X39"X10" and weighed about 200 lbs. See my blog for a photo of both crates. It will fit in a pick-up if you are close enough to pick it up at the factory. Really doubt UPS can handle that type of shipment.

The RV-12 emp kit is too large( dimensionally and weight wise) to ship via UPS or regular Fed-ex express( they do have freight service)
