Mine are trimmed in leather but thats neither here not there.

My Wife and I can do 6 hour trips in almost perfect comfort..Spendy but highly recommended.

Classic Aero Ultraleather

I recently got my RV-8 seats from Classic Aero. They are upholstered with a synthetic material called Ultraleather. It is very soft and comfortable. I'm not flying yet, but I have spent quite a bit of time in the seats as I work on the wiring in my cockpit. The seats are as comfortable as the leather seats in my wife's Volvo S80.

This stuff really works well, make sure it (or an equivalent) is inside your seat bottom cushion.

Since you are in sunny CA, you won't have the "too hard when it's cold" problem with these foams...

...sell FAA approved stuff for certified aircraft. Mainly entire interior kits, but they do sell yard goods.

We are very happy with

our Classic Aero Aviator interior. $$ but worth every penny. I was at first a little concerned about the comfor foam, but it is really the best. Only squawk is that the belts are kinda tight when first put on, but as the foam conforms to my backside, all forms into place. I really like the ultra leather interior. Had the interior panels perforated for some breathabilty. Would certainly do it again.
