So I am considering upgrading my panel in my 4. Not a lot of real estate in my panel. I'd like to get some real world numbers for cost.

I'm thinking I'd like to go with:
Garmin G3X (used) ($1500-2000)
MFD - Garmin 695 ($600)
Garmin sl-30 radio or equivalent ($1500)
Trutrak (STBY instruments - already own)
Garmin Autopilot & 305 panel ($1700)

What does anyone think this might cost to install? And these prices are estimated at what I've seen them sell for on here. Feel free to correct me if I am off base.

Thanks

Does this include all the small boxes and so on that you might need to make it all work? How about ADS-B out?

I'd go with two G3X (non-touch) rather than a G3X and a 695.

The SL-30 includes VOR/ILS which you won't need. It does let you download frequencies from the G3X, however. And I doubt you'd find an SL-30 for $1500.

Get the 307 autopilot controller rather than the 305 -- I wish I did, but I ordered the 305 right before the 307 was announced.

The good news is that the RV-4 is one of the world's easiest planes to work on the instrument panel. AirCam is another.
