There is a Flying Magazine story about Rotax offering and upgrade to earlier 912 engines with a larger air box and increased economy etc. The story said Rotax would offer upgrade kits to existing owners free until later this year.

Do you have any experience or knowledge of this?

Thanks,
EBB

This upgrade is only for earlier "fuel injected" 912 engines, not 912 uls engines. Really sounds like a cool upgrade for an RV-12 though!!!

The new computer and airbox 912is fuel injected engine upgrade should be out to all by end of summer. It is a free upgrade except for the labor which is on the owner. Slotted for 4 hrs of labor. The new system will enhance the performance of the new 912is engine considerably and increase the fuel savings even more.
