I didn't install a PTT on the passenger side, but recently tried to use one of those velcro-attached universal ones. The problem is that it cuts out the intercom- I can't hear the passenger on the intercom (and no sidetone in pax headset) unless the transmit button is pushed. Pretty sure I've wired things correctly, all works perfectly until the PTT is connected. Incidentally, the same thing happened when I tested it on the pilot side.

Anyone have experience with this?

Don't know if this is the problem, but I've had to rewire a couple of PTT switches of the "velcro around the yoke" variety. The PDF article on PTT switches found on Jim Weir's website was the guide I used to accomplish this.
The 2nd to the last picture shows the wire I had to add. Hope this helps...

Outstanding! Thanks Rob! I had thought that the mic wire wouldn't be switched, but I just opened it up and it's exactly as shown in the diagram. Looks like adding the jumper should do the trick!
