I've read the recently released crankshaft AD for Lycoming Engines.

I find the language used in the AD quite difficult to follow.

Does anyone know of a guide that can help me better understand the language used in these directives?

Basicly, if your Lycoming crankshaft s/n is listed in Lycoming Mandatory Service Bulletin (MSB) No. 569A table 5, then it is scrap at overhaul, case seperation, or 12 years which ever occures first. Good luck, Russ
 
I just read the MSB and it looks as if the affected crankshafts are all counterweighted. That should ease a few minds...
