Brian:
Typically, the registration and/or manufacturer's I.D. just denote the holder of the trademark, not the origin of manufacture. For example, the ABC bolt company of Illinois (I made this up) is a registered manufacturer with a registered trademark. However, a significant percentage of their production comes from offshore plants, either owned or licensed by them. In no way does it guarantee product made in the USA. In most cases however, it does ensure traceability, which ensures proper material and processing.

Yes, I was aware of that..but wanted to give people a place to start..by glancing at this list, you can eliminate some companies right off the bat..some names that initially sound "American"..but certainly are not. Did not mean to mislead anyone into thinking that it is a guarantee of US manufacture..just another tool....bc
